The Path of Peace

Chair: John Pritchard

In 2021, the historian Sir Anthony Seldon set out to walk the entire length of the First World War Western Front, a distance of a thousand kilometres from the Swiss border to the English Channel. His 35-day pilgrimage took him to the haunting trenches of the Somme, to Ypres and some of Europe’s most beautiful scenery.

The Path of Peace is the story of that journey, and combines memoir, nature writing and travel alongside a reflection on grief, loss and the legacy of war.

Students and under-18s are eligible for half price tickets. Select the student option when booking.
